ABOUT US
Stand and Withstand Ministries is a dedicated organization focused on supporting music ministry in Slovenia, launching in 2027. Our mission is to work with churches and ministries on the ground to create resources for musical worship. Translating, recording, producing, and distributing songs in the Slovene language is central to our work, as well as building up digital and printed resources for churches of various musical styles. We will also provide direct support to worship musicians and vocalists through workshops, private lessons, and coaching sessions. We believe that through this support we can help to raise up a generation of worshipers who sing, play, and serve in spirit and in truth.
The Randalls
Caleb, Linea, and their 2 sons (baby #2 due in December 2026) are going into the mission field to get Stand and Withstand Ministries off the ground. Currently based in Southern Maine, the Randalls have been investing in their community by leading worship, writing songs for the church, supporting ministries throughout New England, and raising their son. They have an estimated launch date of June 2027.
For a sucessful launch they plan to raise funds to support a full year of work on the ground in Slovenia. Please prayerfully consider donating to the work the Randalls will be doing!

Why "Stand and Withstand"?
The name "Stand and Withstand Ministries" is inspired by the life and legacy of Primož Trubar, the 16th-century Slovenian Protestant reformer and the father of Slovenian literature. Trubar devoted his life to making the Gospel accessible to the Slovenian people, famously declaring, “Stati inu obstati” “To stand and withstand.” This is a part of a larger quote often forgotten.
Those words have become a lasting part of Slovenia’s cultural heritage. Today, they are even featured on the Slovenian €1 coin, meaning that every day, a reminder of Trubar’s faith and conviction literally passes from hand to hand throughout Slovenia and across Europe.
We chose Stand and Withstand because we believe Trubar’s words still speak to the Church today. We are called to stand firmly in the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to withstand the pressures that seek to pull us away from it. At the same time, we want to follow Trubar’s example by communicating the Gospel in ways that are meaningful and accessible to the people of Slovenia.
Our mission is therefore not simply to bring something foreign into Slovenia, but to help uncover and build upon a part of Slovenia's own spiritual heritage. The Protestant Reformation has deep roots in Slovenian history, and Trubar’s legacy reminds us that the Gospel has already been proclaimed in the Slovenian language and woven into the nation's story.
Stand and Withstand Ministries exists to stand for the Gospel, withstand whatever opposes it, and proclaim Christ in Slovenia for the glory of God.
